With progress in biotechnology, the price of production of every amino acid has been considerably diminished, which has been one of the key elements in the enlargement of use of amino acids in animal feed.

Lysine for cats is much like Vitamin C for people. It's an amino acid that helps enhance the immune system.  In line with my vet, Lysine is protected for cats and has no harmful uncomfortable side effects.
